The week ahead in 4thgrade
Math: We continue work in Unit 5: two-digit multiplication is our main focus, and the students have been doing an excellent job!
Reading: For the next couple of weeks we will be reading and discussing fiction books in book clubs; each student has been assigned to a book group. Reading response journals are homework again. Remember, the goal is to read about 30 minutes every day as homework.
Writing: We are finishing our personal opinion essays.
Spelling: We will finish work on Unit 19; the test will be on WEDNESDAY, not Friday. Students can practice the spelling words on spelling city.com.
Vocabulary: We will finish work on Unit 8: the test will be on Friday. Students can practice the vocabulary words on spelling city.com.
Social Studies: We continue our unit on geography.
Science: We continue reading chapter 4.
Religion: This week we finish discussing the 5thcommandment; the test on chapter 15 will be on Friday.

School Notices
- Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are conference days, so students will be dismissed at 11:30 each day. We will have P.E. on Tuesday, but due to the short days, no Music on Wednesday or P.E. on Thursday.
- We will not be going to the school library this week; books will be due next Wednesday.
