Hello Sacred Heart School Families,
I hope everyone had the opportunity to participate in Catholic Schools Week; as a PTC Board Member, it was a pleasure to see and meet many of the family members who were able to attend Parents’ Day on Friday, February 4th.
In my last letter, I mentioned our upcoming events, and as some of you may be aware, your PTC Board has undergone many changes in an effort to bring about school unity and family participation. We ask for your patience as we diligently work to improve the success of our school’s new program.
One of the biggest changes your school board made this year is to institute 4 room parents per grade to maximize parent participation through the sharing of knowledge gained by working on a fundraising event. Your school board also made changes in relation to how fundraising events could be maximized with the participation of 3 grade levels assigned to any fundraising event. Our hope is that the 12 members will work together to facilitate a successful event so no one individual or group will be solely responsible for all planning stages.
Our annual Jogathon is scheduled for April 15th and this is an excellent opportunity for ALL Sacred Heart School families to continue your effort to meet the service hour obligation. The Jogathon will be chaired by the 1st, 4th, and 7th grade room parents who will be lead through the process of this fundraising event working closely with me under the supervision of our school principal, Mrs. Benner. I will be contacting this group of room parents shortly to inform them of the date of the first Jogathon meeting.
The success of Sacred Heart School comes from YOU. It is through your commitment to your child(ren)’s academic, religious, and spiritual training that you decided to enroll your child(ren) at Sacred Heart School; it is with that same commitment that we all share in the success and growth of Sacred Heart School.
Thank You,
Sonya Stickels
