The past week finds 8th graders studying Newton’s laws of motion. We learned about Newton’s first law of inertia by playing with ping pong balls, pennies and matchbox cars. 7th graders are studying cells and learning that the surface-to-volume ratio makes all the difference for cell survival. Our 6th graders assisted 1st grade buddies in their study of nocturnal animals by discovering the bones of voles in owl pellets.
