Dear Second Grade Families,

Our second graders participated in their last primary center on Friday.  Thank you to all the parents & grandparents that helped make our primary centers successful by volunteering on Friday’s. We continue to work hard and complete projects, we continue to learn and review even though we are close to the end.

In the classroom…

Homework:  Last Reading Log for second grade. Tuesday Folders will go out on Thursday.

RELIGION:   We will focus on Family Life…God’s Gift

SPELLING: Reviewing spelling patterns.  No spelling Test!

WRITING: creative writing, cursive handwriting (capital letters)

READING:  We will be reading our last story “ The School Mural” .  We will be focused on comprehension and fluency.  Read alouds by Tomie DePaola

MATH: adding three digit numbers with and without regrouping and time.  Please continue to help your child with the life skills of telling time (analog clock) and counting money.

SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES: Fossil, Rock, and Minerals/Timeline

Wednesday:  Free Dress!

Friday:  Noon Dismissal and Move up Day!
