I hope everyone enjoyed the long holiday weekend. There are several activities planned for these last few days of school. Please check the school newsletter and website for the dates and times of those events.

ACADEMICS

Reading: We continue reading books in series and share what we love about the books with our friends.

Phonics: We continue learning how to study and write compound words.

Spelling: No new sorts. Please review past sorts on Vocabulary A-Z.

Math: We are reviewing math concepts learned in second grade through various activities and games.

Writing: We are putting the final touches on our opinion letters.

Religion: We are learning about the Ascension of the Lord. We will also be reviewing various prayers found in our Daily Planner.

Science: We will explore how structures are built. This will be the last engineering opportunity for us as we build houses out of paper.

Art: Art with Miss Sofer on Wednesday!

Thursday, June 2– library books due and Family Field Day (check the school newsletter for your child’s family color)

Friday, June 3 – 12:00 p.m. dismissal

HOMEWORK – Read for fun (20-30 minutes daily) and continue practicing math facts
