Dear Fifth Grade Families,
We will begin our last week of ITBS testing. We will be testing every morning. Please make sure that your child has a healthy breakfast, plenty of rest, and arrives to school on time.

Below is an overview of our week.
Math: Our focus this week will be Accelerated Math during this week of testing. Students are required to have three done a week with a score of 70% or higher.
Science: Our chapter 1 test will be on Tuesday, September 25th. We will then begin chapter 2, plant systems.
Vocabulary: Unit 2
Spelling: Unit 29. We will be learning about the suffix: -ion. We will have our test this Friday.
Social Studies: Chapter 2. Our focus is on the Native Americans of the Northwest.
English: We will work with using context clues. Brainstorming and clustering will also be introduced this week.
Religion: Our focus will be on Baptism and how it makes us Christians.
Literature: We will be reading our novel, Indian in the Cupboard.
