Each year, each family has 36 hours of service valued at $10 per hour and $300 in scrip “profit” as a part of tuition. Many families exceed this amount, but to be on a comfortable schedule, at least a third of both should be completed at the close of the trimester on November 23. Timely completion of the service hour and scrip obligation is an important part of the financial stability of Sacred Heart School. The holidays bring added opportunities to purchase scrip for meals, travel, and gifts. The December 13th Honors Reception, the classroom Christmas parties, time on the field with the students during the lunch recess, and donations for the Running Raffle coming after the first of the year all offer service hour opportunities.
Mrs. Benner
Education at Sacred Heart School is centered in Christ and is concerned with the development of the whole child. We are committed to helping students grow in trust and devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as well as to helping them grow in the spirit of prayer, service and leadership in the Christian community. Sacred Heart School cooperates with and assists the parents or legal guardians, who are the primary educators of their children. Along with teaching Catholic dogma, doctrine, and morals, Sacred Heart School maintains a strong, innovative curriculum. It is our goal to promote a school atmosphere that is enlivened by Gospel values, intellectual proficiency, and self-esteem.
