Every year, Sacred Heart School participates in the first step of the national spelling bee as five/six students from each class in grades 4-7, and all who elect from 8th grade, compete on stage in Biedermann Hall.
Following the Christmas vacation and this short week of preparation, 24 spellers remain on stage as they spell correctly until only two remain.
Intense throughout, the spell-off moments are extremely so! If your schedule allows, please join us for this educational and exciting event. This year’s event if first thing Monday morning with an 8:30a start. Grades 3-8 attend and family members and guests are welcome.
Competition for our winner continues in the Ventura County Spelling Bee and other bees that lead to the big one in Washington DC.
