The teachers are preparing a list of academic activities for each student to spend time on during the summer weeks. The teacher(s) from the current grade are meeting with the teacher(s) from next year’s grade to prepare the academic activities list that may/will include reading logs, time on specific websites, writing exercises, facts practice, etc. A record of these activities will be kept throughout the summer and brought to school during the first week. Incentives and grading will take place as we return to school. We see some hours of the summer vacation to be wisely used in academics so the school year can get off to a quick start in August. More information and materials will be available soon.

Education at Sacred Heart School is centered in Christ and is concerned with the development of the whole child. We are committed to helping students grow in trust and devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as well as to helping them grow in the spirit of prayer, service and leadership in the Christian community. Sacred Heart School cooperates with and assists the parents or legal guardians, who are the primary educators of their children. Along with teaching Catholic dogma, doctrine, and morals, Sacred Heart School maintains a strong, innovative curriculum. It is our goal to promote a school atmosphere that is enlivened by Gospel values, intellectual proficiency, and self-esteem.
