Dear Kindergarten Families,

Tomorrow is our first day! Hooray! This is the beginning of a wonderful year. I hope to meet everyone again in the morning. School begins at 7:50 and ends at 12:00 this week.

We have a short assembly first after the bell rings at 7:50. We line up in the courtyard, look for the letter ‘K’ on cement near the Flag. Come in with your child and drop off backpack, snack and water bottles, and any supplies for school at the desks. Then we march out for the assembly! After the assembly we begin our day.

Thursday is the Feast of the Assumption of Mary. We will attend Mass at 8:30. Parents are always welcome to attend Mass with us. We sit on the right side of Church. Weekly we attend Mass Friday mornings at 8:30.

This first week of noon dismissals, EDC (extended day care) is available for parents who need after care for their children. Please let your children know and send me an email any time your child needs to attend EDC. And pack them a lunch or order from TDT, our catered lunch program.

For parents who will be picking up their Kindergartners directly after school, meet us at the planters in front of school. Please wait for your children there so I can make the connection with parents. I am strict about this! It is all about safety!!

Keep the dates open for Back to School Night(s) next Wednesday, August 21 and September 18 at 6:30. This is time for parents to come visit, hear about our academic and eventful kindergarten year.
