Welcome to the first week of the third trimester! Coming up this week: On Thursday the 8th graders present the Stations of the Cross to all grades. On Friday, students meet with their school families.
Our week ahead:
ACADEMICS
- Religion quiz Chapter 22 is on Friday. We will be continuing our study of the Beatitudes, focusing on “Happy are the Sorrowing and the Meek”.
- Social Studies: We’ll be catching gold fever this week, continuing our discussion of the Gold Rush!
- Science: We will discuss how humans affect our Ecosystems.
- Spelling test is on Thursday (make sure to get Vocab A-Z activities completed before Thursday)
- RRJ Week #24 (Fiction) is due Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday depending upon student’s due day.
- Math: We continue our study of fractions; the Unit 7 test will be next Wednesday.
- Writer’s Workshop: We are working on our second literary essay, developing more complex ideas about characters and themes in our chosen books. Videos are posted on Seesaw for student review. I will monitor student progress through postings on Edmodo.
