All staff members must be VIRTUS trained and maintain that training by completing monthly online updates or a recertification program that follows the initial training. The VIRTUS programs are described as “… the brand name that identifies best practices programs designed to help prevent wrongdoing and promote ‘rightdoing’ within religious organizations. The VIRTUS programs empower organizations and people to better control risk and improve the lives of all those who interact with the Church.”

Early in 2014, the teachers will lead one or two VIRTUS lessons as part of the students’ Religion instruction. As we do each year, we will ask for your signature on an Archdiocesan form to include your child(ren) in the VIRTUS lesson(s). For more information about VIRTUS, please go to www.virtus.org.
