Thank you to all the parents, and other family members who came on Friday for Primary Centers. Your assistance is appreciated and we could not have done this without you.
Tuesday “we’re off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz.” We will leave at 9:00 and return in time for lunch.
APRIL IS POETRY MONTH. We will be reading poems daily in class. A copy of your child’s poem will be due Tuesday, April 5. We will begin listening to student’s poems the week of April 11th.
Book orders for the month of April are due Thursday, April 7th. Checks only please. Remember you can also order online.
JEANS FOR JAPAN $1.00 free dress will be Wednesday, April 6. Appropriate denim attire can be worn.

RELIGiON; As we continue to prepare for Easter, we will be attending the Stations of the Cross; Easter; First Communion preparation has begun with the story of Jesus feeding a crowd with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. Jesus tells the crowd, “I am the living bread that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever.” Today Jesus comes to us in the for of bread and wine. We receive Him in Holy Communion. We will also learn about God’s love and the story of Passover and how Jesus celebrates a special meal and gives the gift of himself at the Last Supper. This will all lead into the study of the MASS.
LANGUAGE ARTS: reading for fluency and comprehension; spelling words with “or”; creative writing; ABC order; Dictionary work; poetry; Easter language arts; and more cursive handwriting.
MATH: Addition and subtraction facts to 20 for the Timed Math Tests; 2 digit adding and problem solving; beginning 2 digit subtraction with and without regrouping.. Keep working on counting money and telling time.
SOCIAL STUDIES /SCIENCE: More life cycles of animals; Natural resources.
