The School Fair is this Wednesday evening from 6-7:30. Students should bring their mission projects (models or scrapbooks) to the parish center when they arrive in the morning. I will be in the hall waiting for them. They will take the projects home on Thursday.
THE WEEK AHEAD:
Religion: We begin the week with our Virtus lessons, and then continue with Unit 4, focusing on the next 7 commandments.
Math: We have our Unit 5 test tomorrow and then move on to Unit 6. Students are to do ixL D 6 and 16 this week. This will be due next Monday.
Reading Workshop: Students have been put into research teams in order to learn about various forms of Extreme Weather. They have selected a book to start reading about their topic (Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Earthquakes, Tsunamis or Weather). Tomorrow I will send home homework assignment #8, which discusses collecting additional information about their topic. Writer’s Workshop: We continue working on our personal essays.
Reading Fluency: It is fluency #24 this week; it will be due next Monday.
Spelling: Our focus is Unit 22; the test will be on Friday.
Vocabulary: We conclude our study of Unit 12 words; the test will be on Friday.
Grammar: We are finishing our study of the different forms of verbs; we will have a Unit 3 test next week.
