Students will receive their second trimester report cards tomorrow, as well as the latest work packet information. Please sign and return the report card envelope by Friday.
What we are working on this week
Religion: We finish our discussion of the 5th commandment and begin the 6th commandment.
Math: We continue Unit 6, continuing our work in division. This week students need to complete ixL Math skills E 5, E 7 and E 8.
Spelling: We have come to Unit 24, which is a review unit. There will be no test; the book pages need to be finished by Friday.
Grammar: We conclude our study of Unit 3 this week; we will have a test on this unit next week.
Vocabulary: We begin our study of Unit 13 words; there will be a test on these words next week.
Reading: Last week we learned a new comprehension strategy: Summarize the text: Sequence the main events. Click here to access the Parent Pipeline. Parent summarize text-sequence events The reading log will be due on Monday (click here for a copy) reading log characters setting and Fluency Homework #25 will be due next Monday as well.
Social Studies: We are reading and discussing Studies Weekly #15, the California Republic. There will be a test next week on issues 14 and 15. We will prepare a study sheet in class.
Science: We continue our study of Chapter 6, earthquakes and volcanoes.
