Dear Second Grade Families,
FIRST COMMUNION certificates and banners will be sent home this week. Please put them in a safe spot, as they will be needed for Confirmation. If you have extra pictures you can share, please send them in.
The second graders earned the last letter for the mystery word, CELEBRATION. On Thursday we will celebrate by having a board game afternoon. Second graders may bring in their favorite board game.
The last book order for this school year has been sent out. Be attentive to the requested return date so we can have a quick turn-around and receive books in a timely manner.

RELIGION: We are continuing to follow Jesus by making good choices as children of God.
LANGUAGE ARTS: reading for comprehension and fluency; spelling  words that end with “e” and adding  “ed and ing” (test and dictation will be Thursday); more endings for base words and vowel pairs in phonics; creative writing; word attack; vocabulary development; dictionary work and cursive handwriting.
MATH:  Adding and subtracting facts to 20; subtracting with and without regrouping; continuing adding with regrouping. Continue at home with the important life skills of telling time and counting money.
SCIENCE/SOCIAL STUDIES:  Objects in motion/Where our food comes from.
