THE WEEK AHEAD:

This Wednesday we will have a half-day, with a noon dismissal. Friday is a full day.

HOMEWORK (due Monday): Students should complete ixL Math skills X 6 and X 7, as well as Language skill A 4. Students will be doing Fluency week 5 (please initial the sheet each time they read), and they are to do 20-30 minutes of reading each night (please initial all reading done at home).

DAILY WORK

Religion: We are reading chapter 3, which focuses on The Church.

Math: We have finished our first unit; the test will be tomorrow.

Reading Workshop: Everyone is to be reading a realistic fiction book. Please initial the reading log for all reading that is done at home. Click here for a copy of the reading log. READING LOG

Writing Workshop: We are working on writing scenes for our stories.

Spelling: We are learning Unit 4 words; the test will be on Friday.

Vocabulary: We have started Unit 3; the test will be next week.

Grammar: We continue our study of sentences.

Social Studies: We continue reading Studies Weekly issue #3, with the focus being the four geographic regions of California.

Science: We continue learning about interactions in ecosystems.
