Hello Kindergarten Families,
We are busy preparing for Christmas! This week we light the candle of Peace on our Advent wreath. Focus learning – love and caring for family and others. Taking time to smile and help those around us and others less fortunate.
Important school news
First Trimester Progress Reports are coming home in the Red Family envelope on Tuesday. Please review your child’s progress, sign and return envelope. The Progress Report is to keep for your records.
Parish pantry food drive this week.
Look for donut presale form in family envelope – begins Dec. 7 – 13
We have Mass on Thursday and Friday this week.
Dismissal is at 2p this Friday.
If your schedule permits…next week please join us for Christmas events in Beidermannn Hall morning of Dec. 16. Noon dismissal follows next Friday.
Christmas Break begins December 18- continues through January 3.
Academics follow the same pattern as last week.
- phonics – letter sound /h/
- more reading and writing
- adding number combinations to 12 with dice
- Base ten blocks – to count by 10 and work on place value
- Science season of winter and learning about reindeer
- Christmas traditions in different countries – Mexico and Italy
Homework
Look for papers in yellow homework folder. Check Seesaw might need to catch up on activites.
Homework is due next Tuesday – if finished can be turned in this Friday.
I am missing several Completed Work Folders – please empty and return to class.
