Dear Families,

I hope you all had a restful long weekend.  We have another busy week in the fifth grade.  Thursday we will have our Harvest of the Month with Mrs. Hoffman.  She is going to tell us all about sweet potatoes.  This Friday is a noon dismissal for a faculty meeting.  Next Wednesday is the School Fair from 6:30 to 8.  I hope to see everyone there.

Below is an overview of our week:

Math:  We will  be renaming  with subtracting of fractions.  Everyone is working really hard in math.

Voc:  Friday is our unit 9 test.

Spelling:  This week we are working on unit 23.

English:  We are working on Subject and Predicates from unit 1

Science:  This Thursday we will be having our chapter 5 test.

Social Studies:  We will continue our study of Colonial America.  If you have any questions on the report for the School Fair please let me know.

Literature:  This week the class is going to focus on the different stories we have read so  far.

Religion:  Wednesday will be our quiz on the Order of the Mass.  We will continue with our study of the Apostle’s Creed.
