I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend!
This week we’ll be studying the following:
Math: The class will continue with Unit 3 covering lessons 3.7, 3.8 and 3.9. Since our math is becoming increasingly challenging, I highly recommend following along with us at www.everydaymathonline.com. Your child’s username and password can be found in his/her planner. The chapter 3 test will be next Tuesday 11/18.

Vocabulary: This week we will begin Unit 7. The words, definitions and practice exercises are available at the Vocabulary Workshop website. Your child’s username and password can be found in his/her planner.
Reading: The class will finish our second novel, Sarah, Plain and Tall with an emphasis on retelling. The words, definitions and practice exercises are available at the Vocabulary Workshop website. Your child’s username and password can be found in his/her planner.

English: The class will continue Unit 2 with Lesson 10 & 11. In more news, students access is now available on the Grammar Workshop website! While this is not an account that I can establish for your child, directions will be attached to your child’s planner this week. There are opportunities for additional practice, games & activities and interactive practice quizzes. Give it a try!
Science: In class we will continue Chapter 8, Lesson 1: Forms of Energy.
Social Studies: We will learn about “Early Californian’s Beliefs.”
Religion: We will continue Chapter 3, “We are God’s Holy People,” with the story of St. Claire. We will have a quiz on Friday. Click here for the Chapter Study Guide.
