Friday, March 15 our school day is made up of our Almost Spring Showcase and one hour of the event–from 10:30-11:30a– CLASSROOM TOURS!
10:30-11:30a CLASSROOM TOURS—These are in levels (K-4 and 5-8) then school wide (K-8) with students touring with family members or moving with staff members.
10:30-10:50a K-4 Tour 5-8 Teachers (K-4) touring with classes

11:10-11:30a K-8 Tour School wide Teachers remain in classroom; Staff tours with K-4 students as needed
Here is what to look for in each of the classrooms!
Kindergarten–Mrs Brown says, “KInder kiddos exhibit the garden with St. Patrick art and Holy Trinity craft in the backyard. Inside Spring and Lenten displays. And later, at our Assembly, a special song by KInders, the “Fruit of the Spirit” and a walk around to show off their published books.”
First–Mrs Driscoll says, “First grade is delighted to show you our classroom! Our “Creative Writing Journals” will be displayed. We also have our cute “Fraction Robots” hanging up as well as our “Love is…” writing! We are very proud of all we have learned together!”
Second–Mrs Giacolone says, “Wait until you see our work! In second grade…Our Cat in the Hat projects, Lenten Journey Lapbooks, and amazing Jesus & Monstrance pictures that celebrate our First Sacraments.”
Third–Miss Poindexter says, “Third grade is showcasing “The Best Part of Them,” a writing project to help see themselves and their classmates in a positive light. We will have our Solar System Planet Reports up to show, too!”
Fourth–Ms Schmaeling says, “4th grade will be showcasing their research projects on the California missions, articles about Sea Otters from their reading of Island of the Blue Dolphins, and St. Patrick’s Day art and writing.”
Fifth–Mrs Manning says, “We will have our scientist reports hanging in front of the windows. We have watercolor polygon hearts in frames, and The Easter Story Circle books hanging about, as well as, posters of the Eucharistic Prayer from the Liturgy of the Eucharist from our study of the parts of Mass.”
Fifth–Mrs Vazquez says, “The 5th-grade students have been working diligently to create a mobile state float. Each student has chosen one of the thirteen colonies to research. You are invited to stop by and see their “fun” academic work. You can ask your child to give you a quick presentation. It will be great practice for next week’s presentation. Additionally, the students will showcase their art sketchbooks to display their best work so far.”
Mrs Clemmensen’s Homeroom–Mrs Clemmensen says, “In the 6th Grade homeroom, we have the 7th grade Civilization Books and Dioramas and 6th grade Pharaoh Crown Pictures.”
Mrs Rzasa’s Homeroom–Mrs Rzasa says,”In the 7th Grade homeroom, explore the display boards of the 6th grade as they highlight the cultural influences and life experiences of a focus person who has inspired them; delve into the nonfiction one-pagers created by the 7th grade; and examine “The Diary of Anne Frank” and Number the Stars Compare and Contrast Essays written by the 8th grade.”
Mrs Basamanowicz’s Homeroom–Mrs Basamanowicz says, “6th Graders will have their fossil student project on display showcasing the fossil types: resin, mold, cast, and trace. 7th Graders will have their Mitosis and Meiosis projects on display and will be performing a song using instruments made at school. 8th Graders will have their Newton Scooters on display and will be presenting a Wax Museum. They have chosen a mathematician or scientist that has had an impact on the world. They have written a research paper, created a poster, memorized information, and dressed as that individual to present during the showcase.”
