Dear Kindergarten Families,

Today we attend Mass to celebrate the Immaculate Conception. If you schedule permits, please join us. On Friday we will attend Mass celebrating feast day of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

We have three birthdays in our class to celebrate in December!  Mary on the 18th, Lorenzo M. the 19th and Lorenzo P. on Christmas Day!

Remember this week school ends early (11:30) on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday for parent-teacher conference.

EDC is available at dismissal.

Our academics:

This week our  Christian Faith and Practice continues with preparations for Advent and focus on our Blessed Mother Mary.

ELA- a new initial letter/sound of Pp; short vowel /a/;  number words, blending and segmenting. Our listening strategy as we read is to monitor and clarify, classifying and categorizing to help us understand stories as we read.

EM- count and match with dominoes and number cards; counting on with numbers other than one; counting by 10’s and 1’s; and number formation.

Science- continues with our unit on health.

Social studies- people today and long ago; learning about Christmas traditions.

This week we will go to the library on Thursday morning to check out books. Please have your child return their book in order to check out a new one.

Donut sales continue – $1.00 – for our second trimester mission efforts.

First Trimester Progress Reports come home on Tuesday, please sign and return  the envelope when we meet for conference.
