We have a very short week and a very long weekend coming up. We will start some units this week, but most work will carry over until next week. We will have P.E. on both Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

THE WEEK AHEAD:

Religion: We will have a test on Unit 4 on Wednesday. Students have all of the pages and quizzes from this unit in their Religion folders, which they will bring home tomorrow.

Math: We continue Unit 7, focusing on fractions. Students are to complete ixL skills Q 5, 7, and 9 by Friday, June 2.

Reading Workshop: Reading is our number one priority every night. Students continue reading historical fiction selections in partnerships or groups. Click here for a copy of the reading log, which will be due on June 2nd. new reading log

Writer’s Workshop: This week we continue writing and editing our historical books.

Reading Fluency: We will be doing fluency #35 this week; it will be due on June 2nd.

Spelling: We are working on the words in Unit 33; the test will be next Friday.

Vocabulary: We begin studying the words for Unit 18. The test will be next Friday.

Grammar: We will be discussing adverbs this week.

Social Studies: We will be adding to our knowledge of the Gold Rush by reading issues 21 and 22.

Science: We continue learning about electricity; this week we will build different types of electric circuits!
