I hope you all enjoyed the long weekend!  Fall is certainly in the air as we begin the week.

All students now have a mission or gold rush project to begin thinking about and exploring.  Please sit down with your child and help him or her decide what kind of project to do.  All of the instructions are in the California history project packet given out at Back-to-School night.  It was put into the bright orange folder.

This week I will give the chapter 3 social studies test on Wednesday, followed by the chapter 4 math test on Thursday. The end of the first trimester is next Wednesday, November 23rd.

All students should be reading a mystery for the next book report.  Sticky notes will again be used.  The book needs to be completed and in class on or before December 7th.

Many students are running low on supplies.  Please make sure your child has enough notebook paper and pencils.  I have given away so many pencils lately that I am now out, too!  I am sending pencil boxes home today so you “take inventory” to see what might be needed.  Please do not send “cutesy” erasers or unnecessary supplies.  Space is limited and these items become distractions.

Friday is a half day.  After mass we will be working on a collaborative Thanksgiving project with 3rd and 5th grade.  I am sure the students will enjoy this.

Have a blessed week,

Mrs. Sharon Redmond
