Dear Kindergarten Families,

This is going to be a busy week!

Tuesday is a free dress, your children can wear Halloween shirts, socks, and/or fancy hair ribbons to celebrate Halloween. NO costumes, please. Halloween Tattoos costing $1.00 each to support Adopt-A-Family our mission for this trimester. Buy many, we can wear only 2 at school. Any extra tats you buy for Halloween evening will be sent home in an envelope.

Wednesday, November 1 we attend Mass at 8:30 for All Saint’s Day. Please join us if schedule permits.

Friday is the Saint’s Parade starting at 8:30 in Mass. Please be sure to have your child wear costume to school. Uniform under costume, please. We will attend Mass together – Kindergarten, First and Second Grade will precede into church and sit near front of church. Parents and family members please sit behind the primary grades. After Mass we will hear about the Saints from each grade. Kindergarten students need to know the name of their saint. Parade is at about 10:00.

Religion we continue to learn about Saints and practice for church.

ELA – rhyming words, sight words and color words, Reading Workshop- looking for words in text to match pictures, and Writer’s Workshop continues with writing narratives and trying to add words to our picture stories.

EM – teen numbers 11-19, number grid and review of graphing.

Science – how animals and plants change in fall.

Social studies – maps and directions –
