Dear Third Grade Families,

We had a fantastic turn out this past Friday. What a pleasure it was meeting our third grade grandparents! The students enjoyed making family trees, which will be displayed in our classroom.

Hats off to those students who have already met all eight of the third grade multiplication and division math facts goals! Several of our students have earned five homework passes for passing Goal 5, and many of those who have finished Goal 8 along with the Top 21 have received a Hershey’s chocolate bar matching that in the Hershey’s multiplication book we read at the beginning of our multiplication and division unit. Keep up the good work!

In more good news, our classroom library is rapidly expanding. This week we received 18 boxes of previously loved books for the third grade students to read and enjoy. While it will be some time before I sort through and organize these for student check-out, we are all thrilled to have them here.

This Wednesday we will have Stations of the Cross again at 2:00 in the church. All family members are welcome to join us. In class, we will continue with the Family Life series.

Please feel free to turn in all Jog-a-Thon envelopes to me once they are completed. I will pass them along to the office. All students returning their envelope on or before the Tuesday, April 12th deadline will have the opportunity to sign our class poster.

Students should continue working on their poems for the Speech Contest. As a reminder, the finals are April 18th.

Have a super week!

Mrs. Espinosa
