A SNEAK PEEK AT OUR ACADEMICS

Language Arts:

WORD DETECTIVES for reading: READ, READ, READ!  Ask your child what are good reading habits?  We continue receiving Missions from our Word Detective.  We received Mission #3 yesterday.  I am expecting three more missions this week.  Ask your child about the class missions. 🙂

In writing, we are making sure our word wall words are spelled correctly such as have, was, like, they and when.  I continue to add new words to our word wall.  We are practicing writing sentences using a capital letter to begin and adding a punctuation mark at the end.  In addition, we have started writing sentences and assigning a question mark, period, or exclamation mark.

Math: Counting nickels and pennies, skip counting, identifying nickels, dimes, and quarters. The test will be on Thursday.   Keep reviewing.

Religion: God is Holy.  God is Jesus & God is the Holy Spirit.

Science: Why do family members look like one another?

Social Studies:  Post Office/Community leaders (mayor)
