Sneak Peek to our Academic Week
math: This week we continue working with large numbers, up to the millions place!
reading: In our mystery unit we will continue to discuss how mysteries usually go. Then, we will work to compare and contrast the different mysteries we have encountered as readers!
writing: In our informational writing we will work to add text features to our pieces. Many non-fiction writers add text features such as; drawings, captions, definition boxes, maps, etc to help the reader understand the information being taught. We will do the same in our pieces, too!
word work: Word lists can be found in your child’s planner. Spelling tests are scheduled for this Friday.
religion: This week in Chapter 12 we will read about and discuss how Jesus Revealed the Kingdom of God. We will also attend a religious assembly tomorrow.
science: This week we will examine how physical traits can be influenced by the environment, by being astronauts in training! We will analyze how a NASA astronaut’s traits changed during his “year in space.”
Have a wonderful week!
