Sneak Peek to our Academic Week

math: This week we begin Unit 9, where we jump back into multiplication & division, but now…with larger numbers! This week specifically we will focus on multiplying and dividing with multiples of 10, 100, and 1,000!

reading: We continue on with research clubs. This week our groups will begin researching a second animal. As we research and take notes on our reading, we will begin to find similarities and differences among our 2 animals. As we research we want to make sure that we use all we know about reading and research strategies to be the best non-fiction readers we can be!

writing: With our opinion pieces, we will continue to tidy up and edit our pieces. Then, we will begin the publishing process.

word work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner. Our spelling test is scheduled for this Thursday.

religion: In Chapter 22, we will discuss how God blesses contrite hearts. We will read all about how Jesus forgave Peter. Our religion quiz is scheduled for this Thursday.

art: Art with Miss Sofer!

Have a great week!

Blessings,
Miss Poindexter
