Sneak Peek To Our Academic Week
- math: All on geometry! This week will focus on classifying shapes into the triangle, quadrilateral and polygon categories.
Then, we will begin to practice how to measure angles! - reading: This week we will continue to work on our class read aloud, Because of Winn Dixie, thinking deeper about our main character, Opal. Even though a book is finished, it is good to linger with the book for a while in order to spend some time with our inferential comprehension and “after the fact” thinking.
- writing: In our opinion pieces, we work on coming up with and writing strong opinions.
- word work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner & on the Kids A-Z app. In our small, differentiated groups, we continue with our word study, thinking about our spelling patterns and applying them to ALL words, not just the ones on our list!
- religion: This week its all about God and how he continues to offer his life and love to us through Jesus, even through our mistakes.
Have a great week!
