Sneak peek to our academic week-
Math: This week we will finish up Unit 2! To wrap up our unit, we will work with number stories that require us to add 3 or more addends. Mid week, we will review for our test. Our math test is scheduled for this Wednesday. In homework folders, I will send home a Unit 2 review packet; your child can use this to study for our math test.
Reading: This week we will wrap up and finish Unit 1! This week we will work on talking back to our texts, using inference questions. Inference questions aren’t specifically answered in our books; it is our job as readers to use what we know to answer them. Mid week we will begin our mystery unit!
Writing: We continue with our narrative writing! This week we start our third bend, where we will begin a second writing piece, using all of the strategies we have learned thus far to perfect our writing pieces.
Spelling: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner. Spellingcity.com is also a great resource your child can use at home to practice their spelling words. Spelling tests are scheduled for this Thursday.
Religion: This week we continue working on memorizing the Apostle’s Creed. We will have our chapter 6 quiz this Tuesday. Study guides will be sent home on Monday.
Have a blessed week!
