Homework this week-

  • Fluency

Math: We have begun Unit 4 on multiplication and division! This week we will cover lessons 4.2-4.5, where we will work with multiplication arrays, equal shares/groups, and multiplication fact powers!

Reading: We have begun our mystery-reading unit! We started off our unit with solving a classroom mystery-who stole our classroom sharpener? Throughout this unit, we will read mystery books, all while practicing predictions, inferential thinking, fluency, and comprehension.

Writing: We continue writing our narrative stories, almost reaching the end of our unit. This week we will zoom in on our revision strategies; inserting commas, quotation marks, and revising our story endings.

Science: This week we will learn all about heredity, variation, and selection, talking about how the environment and nature can change the traits of animals over time.

Spelling: spelling words can be found in your child’s planner. Spellincity.com is another great resource to use when practicing those spelling words. Our spelling tests are scheduled for this Thursday.

Religion: October is the month of the Holy Rosary. This week we will learn all about the rosary and practice praying it, too!

Have a great week,

Miss Poindexter
