Sneak Peek to our Academic Week:

Math: This week we will focus on units 3.3-3.5. We will work with U.S customary units of length and measuring perimeter.

Reading: We are approaching the end of our mystery unit. This week, we will apply the work of mystery fiction to all types of fiction texts, and then we will work hard to use clues to drive higher-level prediction.

Writing: This week is all about organization. With our information writing topics, we have a lot of knowledge and information to share. The key to writing a strong piece is the organization of our topics and subtopics.

Word Work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner and/or spellingcity.com. Due to having 11/11 off, we will keep the same words for two weeks. NO spelling test this week.

Religion: As we begin Chapter 5, we will discuss how Jesus calls us to follow and spread the Good News. We will also describe how Jesus called the apostles and disciples, too. Later this week, we will have our Unit 1 religion test.

Social Studies: We will discuss Veteran’s Day and its importance to our Country and us.

Have a great week,

Miss Poindexter
