Happy New Year!! I hope you all had a wonderful and restful Christmas break. It was great seeing so many smiling faces!

January 8th, 9th, and 10th– parent-teacher conferences & 11:30 AM dismissal. Please refer to the conference schedule sent home in family envelopes.
Homework this week-

- 100 minutes of reading and logged (No READO this week)

Sneak Peek to our Academic Week:
Math: This week we will work through Unit 5.9-5.11, where we will practice decimals, place value in decimals, as well as ordering decimals. Our math test is scheduled for this Friday. Math study guides will be sent home later this week.
Reading: This week we will identify, study and discuss author’s perspective in non-fiction texts by distinguishing our own opinion from that of the author.
Writing: We will create introductions and conclusions to our informational pieces through the research of mentor texts.Â
Word Work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner and Spellingcity.com. Spelling tests are scheduled for this Thursday.
Religion: All about Epiphany! Then, we will talk about how God’s plan is a plan of love as we take time to appreciate that plan for us.
