  • reading: This week we continue mastering our skills of building a good and successful reading life, as we continue with our re-tell skills as we talk about our books. Then, we will work on our comprehension as we stop and give ourselves comprehension checks as we read. We are building ourselves up to becoming big, independent readers!
  • writing: This week we will being our narrative writing. We will work to begin practicing writing strategies that help generate ideas for true stories, by brainstorming all of our small moments.
  • word work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner. This week we will discover our reading patterns and work through as we sort and complete word work activities. Our first official spelling test will be this Friday.
  • religion: All about Mary! We will discuss how God Calls Mary as we talk a lot about The Annunciation and the rosary. Our Chapter 4 religion quiz is scheduled for this Friday.
  • social studies: This week we will work with maps as we place ourselves in different types of maps; where are we in our home? Our city? Our county? Our state? Our country? Our world?

Have a great week!
