Sneak Peek to our Academic Week
math: We continue on with unit 4, multiplication and division. This week finish up our unit 4, as well as review for our math test. Our unit 4 math test is scheduled for this Wednesday.
reading: We are almost done with our nonfiction reading unit! This week we will dig deeper into our thinking as we read our biographies, focusing on what lessons the author is trying to teach us through the books we read.
writing: Informational writing! This week we will continue drafting our pieces, using various strategies to develop our informational books, focusing on elaboration. We will use mentor texts to help us learn more about elaboration.
word work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner and on spelling city.com. Our spelling tests are scheduled for this Friday.
religion: We will read through chapter 11-God Sent His Son Jesus to Live Among Us
social studies: All about MLK Jr.!
