Sneak Peek of our Academic Week

math: This week we continue on with our geometry unit 6, where we will explore triangles and different types of angles!

reading: We continue on with our Character Study Unit, discussing problems that our characters encounter and taking note of how they resolve those problems. In our book clubs, we will be adding to our story mountain as we look deep into our character’s journey.

writing: This week we will continue to work on our second and final opinion piece! For this second bend, students are expected to write with a lot more independence, using all of their opinion writing tools along the way!

word work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner and on Kids A-Z. Spelling tests are scheduled for this Friday.

religion: This week we will continue to focus on The Seven Sacraments, as well as learning more about The Holy Spirit.

social studies/science: Throughout the week we will do some Earth Day activities. On Wednesday, we will be taking a virtual field trip to the Chumash Museum where we will be able to Zoom with a Chumash Museum docent as we study and learn all about The Chumash tribe.
