March here we come!!

Here’s our week in 4th grade…

Math: We are continuing with Unit 6. We will look at the Partial Quotients Division Algorithm! It sounds scary but it isn’t all that bad! Please encourage your child in math and ask for them to teach you what we are learning.

ELA:

-Writing: We are continuing our writing. We will be revising our drafts with our goals in mind and going through our opinion writing checklist.

-Reading: We are working on our nonfiction unit. Please help by encouraging nonfiction books at home! We are writing 7 sentences in cursive for our second trimester RRJ. Remember nightly homework is to read 20-30 minutes but our RRJ is 1 time a week. This week is a nonfiction response. Please encourage your student to follow the guide we worked on in class.

-Spelling: Please see your student’s daily planner for their new spelling words.

Social Studies: We are continuing to work on the construction of our missions!

Science: We are beginning the wrap up portion of our chapter 3 in our science books. We aim to take our test by the end of the week.

Religion: This week we will focus on Lent this week as we celebrate Ash Wednesday on March 2nd. We will be attending mass on Wednesday, March 2nd for Ash Wednesday. We encourage all able to attend. Mass will begin at 8:30am.
