Our week in 4^thgrade…

Math: We are working from Unit 1: Naming and Constructing Geometric Figures. This week we are focusing on reviewing polygons and constructing circles.

ELA:

-Writing: We are beginning our realistic fiction writing this week.

-Reading: Our Reading Response Journals are due for the first time this week! If you have any questions please see the directions that went home last week or contact me. Remember nightly homework is to read 20-30 minutes!

Social Studies:We start our first lessons this week! We will be learning about California’s geography.

Science:We will continue working on our science lessons as we dive into parts of an ecosystem.

Religion:We are beginning our first unit in our religion books: God Reveals Himself to Us Through His Son. Be sure to check out our Worship Wednesday post! 

Homework: 

Monday: IXL Math Skill W.2 – Reading Response Journals

Tuesday: IXL Math Skill W.4  – Reading Response Journals

Wednesday: Math Worksheet – Reading Response Journals 

Thursday: No Homework due to STAR Testing

Friday, August 30th is a noon dismissal.

No School on Monday, September 2^nd.

School Picture Day is September 4^th! 

Friday, September 6^this Grandparents and Special Friends Day at SHS and a noon dismissal. Please meet us in the church for mass. Following mass, grandparents will be invited up to the hall for some refreshments before joining us in the classroom for some fun!
