Happy Catholic Schools Week!

Our week in 4thgrade…

Math: We are going to work on more multiplication as we learn a new strategy called the lattice method! Please remember to take a look at the back of our math worksheet on Monday for an example of our lattice method. Please help at home by using our fact triangles or flashcards, IXL skills from previous grades, and even games to master our multiplication facts.

ELA:

-Writing: We are continuing our writing. We are drafting our essays and supporting our claims as we write.

-Reading: We are working on our nonfiction unit. Please help by encouraging nonfiction books at home! We are writing 7 sentences in cursive for our second trimester RRJ. Remember nightly homework is to read 20-30 minutes but our RRJ is 1 time a week! We are alternating fiction and nonfiction responses this week! This week is nonfiction responses. Please encourage your student to follow the guide we worked on in class.

-Spelling: Please check your student’s daily planner for their spelling words this week.

Social Studies: We are working on our mission projects this week!

Science:We are working on a big art project focusing on our food chains.
