October is sneaking by and there’s a lot of fun things happening! Here’s a quick look at some important dates.
Important Dates:
- Today, October 18 – Monday, October 31: Halloween Tattoo Sales
- Students can purchase Halloween tattoos for $1 each

- Friday, October 21: 2pm Dismissal – Families and Assembly
- Monday, October 31: Halloween Free Dress
- Friday, November 4: Fall Harvest Showcase

Our week in 4th Grade:
- Math: Multiplication Facts! We’re reviewing and practicing our facts so we can feel more confident with our division later down the line.
- Reading: We’re very close to wrapping up The Tiger Rising. We have many predictions as to what will happen next… will Rob let the tiger go free?
- Writing: Our workshop time this week has been dedicated to drafting, revising, and editing. Soon we will be ready to publish and share all our hard work!
- Religion: We took our 1st Unit test today and will begin a new unit all about how God Strengthens Us to Be Holy.
- Science: This week we start learning about the Birth of Rocks! We started with a group exploration and discussion of a fossil bed found in Nebraska!
- Social Studies: Students will discover more about how the Native People of California utilized the land of CA.
