Hello 4th Grade Families! Here’s to our last week together before Christmas break… the last of 2022!

This week, we are studying the different ways Christmas is celebrated across the world, as well as of other celebrations and holidays that take place! We are also having lots of fun in class as we take time to make crafts and celebrate in the joy that is the Christmas season. (see the great snowflakes they made!) As we wrap up this year, we reflect on what we enjoyed about 2022 and what we look forward to in the year to come.

Important Dates:

  • Tuesday, December 13: LAST DAY for Donuts and Milk Sales ($2 each)
  • Friday, December 16: 12pm Dismissal + FREE free dress
    • Please join us if you can, as your schedule allows: Lots of fun things happening this day! We’ll start our day with Mass, then we’ll have our donut/milk delivery, and then our Celebration of Christmas Coming in Biederman Hall with our 4th graders performing recorders (along with other performances and Christmas recitations).

Homework:

  • IXL Math:
    • S.15: Round decimals
    • S.19: Put decimal numbers in order I
  • 20-30 minutes of reading, 5 times a week – 5 Reading Responses (Tuesday-Tuesday)
    • Please have students read NONFICTION — they have checked out books from our library

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and enjoy the time with friends and family. Thanks for making 2022 a great year! I look forward to seeing you soon. 🙂

Merry Christmas!

Ms. Schmaeling
