  • 20-30 minutes of reading, 5 times a week – 5 Reading Responses (Tuesday-Tuesday)
    • Please have students read NONFICTION — they have checked out books from our library

Our Week:

  • Math: We continue to study decimals and explore the thousandths place. Students will practice viewing decimals as fractions and how they connect!
  • Reading: Nonfiction is everywhere! We’ll keep practicing how to read nonfiction well by making a connection to our texts, and by trying our best to look IN and AROUND unfamiliar words to figure out their meanings.
  • Writing: We begin our focus on Opinion writing this week!
  • Religion: Advent has arrived! This week, and the next weeks to come, we will study about Advent in religion. Our focus this week… HOPE!
  • Social Studies: We continue learning about California’s Native People and their various cultures.
  • Science: This week, we continue our study of rocks. We focus on Sedimentary rocks and ask the question: What did our town look like 100 million years ago?
Some of our turkeys from the week before Thanksgiving Break!

Let’s make it a great week!
