Report cards and work packets go home tomorrow.  I am very pleased with the progress I am seeing; we have been working very hard!

The Speech contest will be at the end of April. We will begin reciting poems the first week back from Easter break.  All students need to have a poem selected by this Thursday.

This week we will be completing Reading logs, due on Thursday. You may click here to access the form.  Weekly_Reading_Log

We will not be doing ixL Math this week.  I will give a Math worksheet each day, to be completed by the following day.

We have finished writing our opinion essays!!   We will revisit this style of writing, as well as personal narratives and informative writing, during the remainder of the school year.

In Social Studies we have concluded our reading of chapter 5; students will have an open book assessment of the main concepts in this chapter on Wednesday.

We are doing review unit 24 in Spelling; pages should be finished by Thursday.

We will have a test on Unit 13 Vocabulary words this Thursday.

In Grammar we continue our study of adjectives.

In Math we continue learning about strategies for doing division problems.

We continue our study of the properties of rocks and minerals in Science class.  Students have two packets of worksheets, lesson one and two, which are due tomorrow.  The packets for lessons 3 and 4 will be due by Thursday.

In Religion class we have been discussing the seventh and tenth commandments.  We will also focus upon Holy Week, and as we conclude our Lenten journey, we will be attending Stations of the Cross on Wednesday at 2 p.m.  Please join us if you can.

In Reading groups we continue reading our literature selections, as well as reading nonfiction selections in the Scholastic News magazines.
