The week ahead in 4thgrade
Math: The Unit 4 test will be on Wednesday, and then we go on to Unit 5, focusing on multiplication.
Reading: We continue learning how to be effective readers of nonfiction, focusing on a variety of group weather topics. Students may continue reading chapter books for their Reading Response journals. If you have any questions, please contact me. Remember nightly homework is to read 20-30 minutes!
Writing: This week we will begin drafts of our personal opinion essays.
Spelling: We will have the test on Unit 16 words on Friday. Remember that these words are available for practice on SpellingCity.com.
Vocabulary: We continue work on Unit 7; the test will be on Friday.
Social Studies: We continue in chapter 2, learning about the early European explorers who came to California.
Science: We have finished chapter 3; the test will be on Wednesday.
Religion: We are focused on the season of Advent, and reading chapter 13. We will have a unit test next week.
