Dear Fourth Grade Families,
Here’s our week in 4thgrade…
Math: We are still working on Unit 7 this week. This week we work on more fractions and probability.
ELA:
-Writing: We are working hard on our informative writing unit! We are in the process of moving from our first chapter to our second chapter in our westward expansion books.
-Reading: We are continuing our Reading Responses. Remember nightly homework is to read 20-30 minutes!
-Vocabulary: We are on our first week of Unit 14. Remember that these words are available on SpellingCity.com for practice. We will be taking our test next week.
-Spelling: Spelling Words come from Unit 28 this week. Our test will be on Friday this week.
Social Studies:We are working on our fifth chapter in our books. This week we learn about agriculture and industry within California in the late 1800s.
Science:We are continuing our Chapter 6: Rapid Changes on Earth. We will be learning about landslides this week. We will be reviewing in the later half of this week and preparing to take our test early next week.
Religion:We are working from Chapter 22 this week. We have begun our lessons on the eight Beatitudes and will continue throughout the next few weeks. This week we focus on the second and third Beatitudes.
Homework:
Monday: Reading Response Journals – IXL Math Skill T.5 – Finish Spelling Classwork
Tuesday: Reading Response Journals – Math Worksheet – Finish Vocabulary Classwork
Wednesday: Reading Response Journals – Math Worksheet – Study Spelling
Thursday: Reading Response Journals –Math Worksheet– Study Spelling
Friday: Have a great weekend!

- RAYS program is on Tuesday
- Library will be on Wednesday
- $1 Free Dress Wednesday
- Stations of the Cross on Friday at 2pm in the church
- Friday is a full-day of school.
