Sneak Peek To Our Academic Week
Math: This week we wrap up unit 2! Before our test, we will continue to practice with subtraction by re-grouping. Then we will spend time reviewing for our test this Friday.
Reading: We have begun our new reading unit…reading to LEARN with non-fiction texts! This week we will work on revving up our minds before we read non-fiction texts. In order to do that we must preview it, identify the parts, and think about what we think we might learn from the book.
Writing: As we continue with our narrative writing, we will revise out writing by asking, “what’s the most important part of this story?” and develop that section of our stories.
Word Work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner and spelling city.com. We have the same words from last week. Our spelling tests are scheduled for this Friday.
Religion: This week we will discuss and learn about Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton. We will also discuss how to put God first in our lives. We will take our chapter 8 religion quiz this Friday.
Social Studies: All about Veterans Day!
Have a great week! Stay warm!
Blessings,
Miss Poindexter
