Sneak Peek to our Academic Week
math: We continue on with multiplication and division! This week we will continue to work through division number stories as well as begin seeing the ties between multiplication and division.
reading: We have reached the last bend of our non-fiction unit! This week we will focus heavily on biographies and learning how to tackle these books using the same skills from expository non-fiction books.
writing: This week we begin our new unit of writing–information writing! We will choose topics that we are an expert in and we will write, write, write!
word work: Spelling words can be found in your child’s planner and on spellingcity.com. Spelling tests are scheduled for this Friday.
religion: All about Advent, focusing on Week 2’s virtue-Peace! We will read about how Jesus brought peace into our world as well as discuss how we can be peacemakers in our world today.
