Hello Families!
We are in the last week together before Christmas Break. We are all in with everything Christmas! We spent the week celebrating Advent in class with the older students coming and introducing us to the “feast days” of saints celebrated this week. They also made “Families” very special this past Friday by helping the younger students create a Santa pop-up decoration. They are such a thoughtful group of students.
In class, we have had new letters from our Gingerbread Exchange! We have been so happy to receive mail every day last week. This has been such a wonderful experience! We also learned that another class uses Heggerty like us! They were so excited! We have learned about different mascots, foods, and what states are known for around the country. Our large map is filled with wonderful and creative gingerbread people.
This week we are finishing up projects we have been enjoying like our gingerbread unit and our Base Ten unit in math. We are also practicing letter writing by creating cards and goal-making for the new year.
