Sneak Peek of our Academic Week
math: We begin our last and final math unit of the year! This week we will focus on the important skills of multiplication and division. We will focus on different algorithms to help us multiply 1 and 2-digit numbers.
non-fiction reading: Animal Research Clubs! In our collaborative clubs, we will work to research specific subtopics on our animals. Each member of the group has their own responsibilities in the research process. This week we will focus on each responsibility each member has and learn about the different and effective ways to share information and collaborate.
writing: This week, we will publish and perfect our opinion pieces.
word work: We continue on with Words Their Way! This is our differentiated spelling program where we focus on spelling patterns to help us become the best spellers we can be. Spelling words can be found on Vocabulary A-Z + in your child’s planner. It’s always great to practice these throughout the week.
religion: We continue to prepare for our May Crowning Ceremony.
science: All about properties of matter!
Have a great week!
